After School Programs "Drop In" any day of the week, before
or after class to play outside, draw, paint, make a craft or play games.
This is a free service for members. Enrollment is another class on day
of attendace is required. Learn the basics of horsemanship with
a very interactive learning environment provided by Rosehaven Stabes
located at 31 Valley View Drive off East Main Street in Meriden. Learn
about horse breeds, riding disciplines as well as how to groom, tack
and ride a horse. Rosehave will offer an introductory five week clinic for beginners. Each Child will need her own trasportation to and from Rosehaven Stables. Students will have a choice of projects
and learn a variety of painting and glazing techniques. Evertyhing
is provided for the students to complete their projects, such as brushes,
paints, glazes, paint palettes and smocks. After a session students
may, with approval of the teacher, move up to a more advanced class. Come and join the fun by learning to
make a sampling of easy to make foods. You will learn how to prepare
ingredients, measure, clean up and other useful cooking tips. Learn
your way around the kitchen in this fun class. Learn patterns, fabric selection and
both hand and machine stitching. Each participant will have a competed
square by the end of the session. Learn the basics of scrapbooking to create
a book of memories. Participants will use personal photos to create
themed pages, using a variety of scrapbook techniques. They will learn
to crop, create borders, journal and layout themed pages. Class fee
includes supplies. Open to Girls and Boys ages three to five. Due to the age of preschool participants, parents or caregivers Must remain on site during each class. House Sampler Can't decide what great program to choose?
Try the house sampler different activities like cooking, crafts, stories,
puppets, science, manipulatives and more. Using all of the great resources and
materials that we have at Girl Inc. children can create a variety of
art projects. This is a great way for your preschooler to foster gross
motor skills. We wil learn about the what's, where's
why's and how's of our world through experiments, observations and
fun projects. Cooking fun! Not just cooking- learning
your way around the kitchen. From measuring to kneading, cake decorating,
following recipes and even the clean-up. We will learn all about the
kitchen! Get messy! It's ok with our new class!
Paint, shaving cream, Jello, Play dough- The messiest projects to really
get those tactile senses going. Each week is a different sensation. Give your 2-3 year old a PAT on the back!
This class is a modeately structured opportunity to have fun and learn
gymnastic basics with your child, s/he climbs, rolls and balances through
the gym! Children 4-5 may enroll in Tiny Tumblers. Toddler Time (2 year old only) Independent from parent or caregiver,
this class will incorporate music, stories, finger-play and art in
a fun and inviting environment. Sign your toddler up for both sessions
for $80 or just one for $40.
